ABOUT THE FILM

Oregrown in association with Pete Alport is proud to present LowPressure an all Oregon backcountry snowboard film. Presented with an abundant and unlimited supply of untapped locations, the LowPressure crew set it's sites on taking both unknown riders as well as household names to explore non chairlift accessed volcanoes, burned forests, mountain ranges, and other unique landscapes only found in Oregon. For an entire season the crew learned what it takes to dedicate an entire season towards a unique project, ride first descents, juggling full time jobs and battling a ten week drought that ended with a ten week storm cycle. Pushing themselves beyond previous experiences, they split boarded hundreds of miles, earned more sunrises than they thought possible and produced incredible footage. LowPressure is the first all Oregon backcountry snowboard film.

Pete Alport

Pete Alport is an accomplished and veteran photographer, videographer, mountain guide, and shoot organizer based in Bend, Oregon. Beginning in 2002, Pete began work for an action sports television show named"Ambush TV'. Working for the program, which aired across seven states, led to filming commercials and actions sports with Rage Productions. He parlayed success at Rage Productions at directing and filming for Poor Boyz Productions, beginning in 2005. During his time with Poor Boyz filming commercials and features, he began film consulting for companies, such as Mt Bachelor. Gaining recognition throughout the ski, snowboard, and outdoor industries led Pete to create a photography and film business.

In the rare moment without a camera, Pete fully embraces the outdoor lifestyle, where he can be found camping, biking, hiking, snowboarding, or surfing, with his two children and friends. The passion Pete exudes for the outdoors, his family, his home, and photography is unparalleled. Sun up to sundown he is exploring with family and friends, and with certainty, a camera will be in tow.

All proceeds from the Low Pressure premier will be donated to Oregon Adaptive Sports.

Oregon Adaptive Sports is working to empower people of all abilities to fully engage in the outdoors and to live an active, healthy, and thriving life. Access to the outdoors includes many barriers for the approximately 1 in 5 individuals living with a disability. Adaptive sports equipment is prohibitively expensive for most, accessible transportation does not reach trailheads or open spaces, hours of training are required to facilitate safe and effective programs.

With charitable donations, OAS helps break down these barriers and continue to provide life-changing experiences for individuals with disabilities. In 2017, OAS served more individuals, in more activities, in more locations than ever before. They reached over 400 individuals with a disability through top-quality programs from the slopes of Mt Bachelor and Hoodoo to the waters of Hosmer Lake and the cliffs of Smith Rock State Park.
